Diggers Home

Diggers Home Farm (Estate) was established by a diamond miner from Kimberly in the late 1940’s. It nestles in the east facing slopes of the Obiqua Mountains. Digger’s Home Farm was originally a fruit and livestock farm with a small dairy.

The Vineyards were planted by a wine maker from the Napa valley in California in 1999 and the flinty soils and terroir produce excellent wine.

The current owners David and Janet Anderson, bought the farm in 2011. The Wine cellar was started in 2017 with 2018 being the first vintage to be bottled at the Estate. The wine maker Albert Brink Joined the team in 2018.

All 4 wines, Unwooded Chardonnay, Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon won Veritas awards in the first year.
