The winter prior to 2021 allowed good growth in the vineyards as the
water table was reasonably filled. It gave the vineyards a chance to
produce a nice canopy leading to phenolic ripe grapes. The 2021
vintage also offered us optimal sugars at the correct times.
A straw-coloured wine that on the nose depicts characters of cedar
wood, almond, and cashew nut with yellow peach and gooseberry
fruit. On the palate, the fruit profile is prominent with undertones of
nuttiness and slight tobacco characters with very good structure, as
this wine was aged for seven months in third-fill Swabian oak barrels.
